Our Story
It all began in the hushed shadows of a Ryokan. There, between paper partitions and the murmur of water, Melissa began a conversation with two friends, practitioners of Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine. They shared an undeniable observation; a contemporary dissonance has settled between the individual and their own sanctuary. Through pressure, forgetfulness, or imposed modesty, bodies have disconnected from their vital centers. The head, the chest, the pelvis, these sanctuaries of creation and intimacy, have become zones of tension, or even disavowal.
From this observation a radical question was born: how to facilitate the return to an essential organic sensuality?
Melissa's intention crystallized that evening; to create a cosmetic that does not merely touch the surface, but honors these sacred zones with flawless coherence, from the botanical essence to the case that protects it.

GENAESIS is the result of a geographical maturation. If her maternal grandmother bequeathed her the primary language of plants, Melissa spent years enriching this lexicon in the four corners of the globe. From the Lesser Antilles to Asia, she sought encounters with keepers of knowledge. Herbalists, phytotherapists, massage therapists, gastronomic chefs, and artisans of the earth passed on to her a transversal understanding of nature. This ethnobotanical blending became her signature in 2021 upon founding her Atelier, embodying a promise : to surrender to Nature in order to transmit its very best.
Everything that emanates from GENAESIS is crafted by hand, from the cosmetic composition to the packaging, respecting the slow temporality of true craftsmanship. Natural formulations, offered in limited editions, are sheltered by the elements (wood, wool, cotton, clay and cork) : unique, functional art shaped by independent artisans.
